Informed the enemy about the consequences of shelling the infrastructure and the location of the equipment of the Defense Forces: a resident of Mykolaiv was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property

With the support of the public prosecution by the prosecutors of the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, the court found a resident of Mykolaiv guilty of treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Prosecutors proved that in August 2024, the convicted individual contacted the administrator of a pro-Russian channel, — Serhiy Lebedev (known online by the pseudonym "Lohmatyi"), who is currently hiding in Donetsk and working for the FSB and military intelligence of the Russian Federation, — and offered cooperation.

The convicted individual collected and transmitted data about the consequences of shelling of military and critical infrastructure facilities in the region, as well as the geolocation of the air defense missile systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including those of foreign manufacture.

From his residence, the man also monitored the approximate number and types of weapons of the Ukrainian forces moving towards the front line.

In November 2024, he was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. During searches, a mobile phone was seized, which contained evidence of intelligence and subversive activities in favor of the Russian Federation.

The accused awaited the court's verdict in custody.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine in the Mykolaiv region.
