Two residents of Kramatorsk have been notified of suspicion of treason, and one of them additionally for justifying, recognizing as lawful, denying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, and glorifying its participants (Part 2 of Article 111, Parts 2 and 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
In March 2024, a former employee of the industrial sector of the city began communicating in the banned social network "Odnoklassniki" with a serviceman of the Russian Federation. Having a negative attitude towards her country, she voluntarily agreed to collect data for him regarding the operational situation in the frontline region. At the same time, an ideological supporter of the Kremlin consciously refused to receive monetary rewards for her actions.
The woman reported to her curator via Telegram about the location of infrastructure facilities, including enterprises in the transport sector, industry, and trade. She paid significant attention to the locations of personnel and the placement of ammunition for the Defense Forces in the city and nearby villages. She also reported on the consequences of fire damage. The provided data was given to the recruiter to assist in adjusting shelling.
In addition, having received from the occupiers the functions of "super moderator" of a pro-Russian community, the woman reposted posts from users who admired the so-called liberators. Moreover, she spread photos of Russian military personnel with slogans about their alleged "bravery" and "self-sacrifice."
The second Kramatorsk resident communicated in a messenger with a representative of the FSB of the Russian Federation. In March 2025, she sent him 4 messages in which she reported the temporary location of Ukrainian defenders in the city and its outskirts. Emphasizing the concentration of military and special equipment, she indicated the places where it is serviced and repaired. She repeatedly clarified the information requested by the enemy.
The court granted the prosecutors' request for the selection of a preventive measure in the form of detention for the suspects. The procedural guidance in the criminal proceedings is provided by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, and the pre-trial investigation is conducted by the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
