Under the procedural guidance of the Zhovkva District Prosecutor's Office, a 39-year-old director of a limited liability company has been notified of suspicion. He is accused of intentionally abusing his official powers to the detriment of the enterprise for personal enrichment, which resulted in severe consequences for the state (Part 2 of Article 364-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, in November 2023, a contract was concluded between the suspect and the KNP "Rava-Ruska Hospital" of the Rava-Ruska City Council for the supply of 175 tons of coal.

According to the terms of the contract, the fuel was supposed to meet the requirements of the state standard. However, the suspect intentionally supplied coal that did not meet the established technical specifications. The medical institution, unaware of the product's non-compliance, made full payment based on the submitted documents.

As a result of these actions, the interests of the state suffered damages amounting to nearly 1.7 million UAH.

Currently, a motion has been submitted to the court for the selection of a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of round-the-clock house arrest. Measures are also being taken to recover the damages incurred.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Police Department No. 2 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv Region. Operational support is provided by the Security Service of Ukraine in the Lviv Region.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
