Under the procedural guidance of the Pustomyty District Prosecutor's Office, a former deputy of one of the city councils in the Lviv region has been notified of suspicion for declaring false information (Part 1 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the suspect deputy included knowingly false information in the annual declaration for 2022 regarding his own property and the property of family members.

The submitted information differs from the accurate data by a total amount of nearly 5 million UAH. 

Thus, the man did not indicate a residential house and the land plot under it, which is partially owned by his wife. In addition, he failed to report income from entrepreneurial activities and incorrectly stated the income received by his wife’s individual entrepreneur. The deputy also concealed actual information regarding the available balance of funds and monetary assets in various accounts.

Investigative actions are ongoing.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the investigators of the police station No. 1 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
