Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office, illegal fuel circulation through a licensed network of gas stations has been terminated.

The investigation has proven that from 2022 to 2025, officials of the enterprise organized the sale of fuel outside the official accounting. Such operations were not reflected in tax reporting, which allowed them to conceal the actual sales volumes.

As a result of the illegal activities, fuel worth over 81 million UAH was sold unlawfully, and the state budget lost over 10 million UAH in taxes.

In addition, the funds obtained, according to the investigation, were legalized through the financial operations of the enterprise.

These actions not only violate the requirements of tax legislation but also undermine the principles of fair competition and harm the economic security of the state.

The manager has been notified of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 212, Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 366, Part 1 of Article 204, and Part 3 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (tax evasion in especially large amounts, illegal sale of excise goods, official forgery, and legalization of income obtained by criminal means).

The chief accountant has been notified of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 212, Part 2 of Article 28, and Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (tax evasion in especially large amounts and official forgery).

Separately, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted in the criminal proceedings initiated regarding the illegal production of the specified fuel. Within this proceeding, the circumstances of production, the origin of the raw materials, and the circle of involved persons are being established.

The pre-trial investigation is carried out by the Investigative Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Cherkasy region with operational support from the Security Service of Ukraine in the Cherkasy region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
