With the support of the public prosecution by the prosecutors of Khmelnytskyi, a 40-year-old man has been found guilty of committing lewd acts and rapes of his daughters, committed repeatedly (part 2 of article 156, part 3, 4 of article 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

He has been sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment with a 3-year ban on engaging in activities related to the education, upbringing, and leisure of children.

In court, it was proven that in May of last year, the man raped his underage daughter. 

The girl told her older sister about the ordeal, who also confessed that she had been subjected to sexual violence by their father since the age of 13. Together, they turned to medical professionals and law enforcement.

In court, the man did not admit his guilt.

The guilty verdict was issued by the Yarmolynets District Court of Khmelnytskyi region. The period for filing an appeal is ongoing.

After the verdict takes legal effect, information about the man will be entered into the Unified Register of Persons Convicted of Crimes Against Sexual Freedom and Inviolability of Minors.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Kamianets-Podilskyi District Department of the National Police in Khmelnytskyi region.
