Under the procedural guidance of the Nizhyn District Prosecutor's Office of the Chernihiv region, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated into the commission of a war crime that resulted in the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, on the evening of June 21, the occupiers attacked one of the settlements in the Nizhyn district using strike drones. As a result of the attack, a 67-year-old local resident was killed, and houses and outbuildings were damaged.

Information about the victims and destruction is being clarified.

Investigators from the Nizhyn District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Chernihiv region and prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, are taking all possible and appropriate measures to document the war crimes committed by representatives of the Russian Armed Forces.
