In Dnipropetrovsk region, 11 members of drug gangs were exposed

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, the activities of two drug groups, whose members were engaged in the illegal sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in the region, were terminated.

According to the investigation, an organized group of five people operated in Pavlohrad. Its participants sold cocaine, methamphetamine and PVP in the region by passing them "from hand to hand" or leaving "bookmarks" in public places. Mostly drugs were sold in bulk. Having received money on electronic wallets, they were cashed at currency exchange offices.

Another organized group of six people operated in Kryvyi Rih. The suspects established the sale of methadone through telegram channels by placing "bookmarks". For the purpose of conspiracy, the participants used electronic payment systems and bank accounts of third parties, and the funds received from illegal activities were legalized.

It was established that both groups had been operating since 2025 and had a common supplier of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.

According to preliminary estimates, the monthly income from illegal activities amounted to more than UAH 3.5 million.

During 31 authorized searches, 300 psychotropic substances PVP, 150 grams of methamphetamine, cannabis, spices, cocaine, amphetamine, weapons and ammunition, cars, cash, mobile phones, computer equipment, bank cards, electronic scales, SIM cards, draft records and other material evidence were seized.

Currently, 11 persons, including the supplier of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, have been served notices of suspicion on the facts of illegal acquisition, storage, transportation for the purpose of sale and sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances (Parts 2, 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The issue of choosing preventive measures in the form of detention for all suspects is being resolved.

The pre-trial investigation is carried out by investigators of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk region, operational support is carried out by the Department of Internal Affairs of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk region under the procedural supervision of prosecutors of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.

Note: according to Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his/her guilt is legally proven and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
