Under the public prosecution of the prosecutors of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, the court found two women guilty of committing crimes against the foundations of national security of Ukraine. One of them was sentenced for collaborative activities (part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), and the other for treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). They were sentenced to 13 and 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property, and one was additionally deprived of the right to hold positions in law enforcement agencies and government bodies for 15 years.

In December 2023, a saleswoman from Pokrovsk established contact on Telegram with two previously acquainted servicemen from the Russian Armed Forces. During their communication, the woman agreed to provide them with military information. She focused on the location of fortifications, critical and civilian infrastructure in her city. In addition, she disseminated information about the placement and movement of Defense Forces units in the region.

The second convicted individual is a resident of the village of Bahatyr in the Volnovakha district, who was recruited in November 2024 by a representative of the enemy army in the same messenger. Following the curator's instructions, the agent gathered information on the locations of the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Volnovakha direction. She noted their coordinates in text messages. Furthermore, the accomplice of the occupiers assisted the aggressor state's troops in advancing in the territory of the Kurakhiv community by searching for locations for the entry and establishment of reconnaissance groups of the Russian army.

The illegal activities of the individuals have been exposed and halted. They awaited the court's verdict in custody.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
