Under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, an indictment has been sent to court regarding one of the officials of the communal medical institution of the Brovary district.

The investigation established that the official, leading the tender committee, abused her official position in the interests of a private company. She facilitated the selection of a supplier as the winner of the open bidding procedure, who offered pharmaceutical (narcotic) products at inflated prices.

Subsequently, on August 23, 2021, a contract was concluded between the hospital and this supplier for an amount of nearly 492 thousand UAH. As a result of the inflated product prices, the state interests suffered losses exceeding 429 thousand UAH.

The actions of the accused have been qualified under Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse of official position resulting in serious consequences).

The indictment has already been sent to court for substantive consideration.

We remind you: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and confirmed by a guilty verdict of the court.
