Juvenile prosecutors of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office have submitted an indictment to the court against the driver of a cargo truck who caused a fatal traffic accident.

According to the investigation, in August 2025, the truck driver, while driving on the "Kyiv-Odesa" highway near the village of Hostra Mohyla in the Bila Tserkva district, was not attentive at the wheel and did not take the road conditions into account. As a result, he drove onto the shoulder and collided with a passenger car that was stationary.

As a result of the accident, the driver of the passenger car, his female passenger, and a ten-year-old boy died at the scene.

The accused is charged with violating traffic safety rules, which resulted in the death of several individuals (part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

He faces a punishment of imprisonment for a term of 5 to 10 years, along with a ban on driving vehicles for up to 3 years.

Let us remind you: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
