In the Kyiv region and Lviv region, performers of the tasks of the special services of the Russian Federation: Paliy and minor saboteurs received suspicions

Prosecutors have reported suspicions against four perpetrators who, at the request of the Russian special services, carried out sabotage actions in Kyiv and Lviv.

In the capital, a 23-year-old and a 29-year-old residents of Kyiv set fire to a railway relay cabinet in the Holosiivskyi district and to vehicles used by military personnel and volunteers. They recorded the execution of the orders on video and sent it to the client.

In Lviv region, law enforcement prevented a terrorist act that was attempted by a 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl from Cherkasy. Acting on the instructions of an anonymous person from "Telegram," they arrived in Lviv, where they received a backpack with explosives and equipment. The young man was supposed to plant a homemade explosive device under a vehicle in a public place, while the girl was to set up video surveillance.

The suspects were detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine before the explosives were activated. Their actions have been classified as a completed attempt to commit a terrorist act, carried out by a group of individuals in conspiracy (part 2 of Article 15, part 2 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanctions of the articles provide for up to 8 years of imprisonment for obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, life imprisonment for sabotage, and from 7 to 12 years of imprisonment for a terrorist act.

Pre-trial investigations are being conducted by investigators of the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, as well as the Security Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region. The procedural leadership is provided by the Kyiv City and Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Offices.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
