The Darnytsia Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the Defense Sector of the Central Region, together with the Desnyanskyi Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv, with the operational support of the Department of Internal Security of the National Police of Ukraine, has reported suspicion against a serviceman for committing a criminal offense under Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (organizing the illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine for selfish motives).

According to the investigation, in August 2025, he offered one of the conscripts $9,200 to organize the transportation across the state border of Ukraine. The latter was to arrive in Chernivtsi and then proceed to Romania.

After receiving the agreed amount of unlawful benefit, the perpetrator was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, and the subject of the unlawful benefit was seized.

A preventive measure in the form of detention has been chosen for the suspect.

The sanction of the incriminated article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of seven to nine years, with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years, along with confiscation of property.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
