04.11.2025
Under the procedural guidance of juvenile prosecutors of the Boryspil District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation is ongoing regarding the facts of the rape of minor girls (Part 4, 6 of Article 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, during 2025, a resident of the village of Mali Yerkivtsi in the Boryspil district, being the stepfather of two girls aged 12 and 15, systematically committed sexual violence against them.
While receiving treatment at one of the medical facilities in the region, the younger girl told doctors about the rape. The medical staff reported this to law enforcement. Investigators verified the information and established that another child had also suffered from the same man. Both girls lived with the suspect and their mother in the same house.
On November 1, 2025, the man was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The head of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office signed a notice of suspicion against the man under Part 4, 6 of Article 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (rape of a minor, committed repeatedly). The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for the suspect.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Boryspil District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kyiv region.
Prosecutors and investigators are also checking the role of the girls' mother – in particular, whether she was aware of the facts of the violence, whether she could have prevented it, and whether she failed to act. If signs of an offense are established, her actions will be legally assessed.
