According to the investigation, the director and chief engineer of a state enterprise engaged in certification testing of defense equipment established a corruption scheme – for a "reward," they included false data about the quality of the products in official protocols. 

Without conducting proper tests, the individuals "turned a blind eye" to the deficiencies of the armaments and, for money, wrote positive conclusions in the documents, sharing the funds received among themselves, bypassing any official accounting.

At least two cases of such inspections have been documented: first of a robotic turret, and then of surface complexes, which were provided for testing by the director of a private firm. 

Both officials were detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine while receiving the next tranche – 80 thousand hryvnias. During authorized searches, documentation, rough notes, money, and other physical evidence confirming the criminal activity were seized from them.

Prosecutors of the Lviv Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the Defense Sector of the Western Region informed the individuals of suspicion for receiving unlawful benefits by a public official, committed by a group of persons in conspiracy, combined with extortion (Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Currently, preventive measures have been chosen for the suspects. 

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region, based on materials from the Security Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime until their guilt is proven in the manner prescribed by law and confirmed by a guilty verdict of the court.
