The Deputy Head of the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, Denys Ilchenko, proved the guilt of a 22-year-old man in the rape of a minor child (part 4, part 6 of Article 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

During July-August 2024, the accused systematically raped his cousin. At the time of the crime, the girl was 13 years old. 

In August 2024, the girl's father learned about the rapist's actions and reported it to the law enforcement authorities. 

During the court proceedings, the accused did not admit his guilt; however, based on the collected evidence and conducted examinations, the court agreed with the arguments of the Deputy Head of the Regional Prosecutor's Office and sentenced him to 15 years of imprisonment.  

Until the sentence takes legal effect, the accused will remain in custody.

Based on paragraph 2 of part 4 of Article 374 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, information about the accused has been included in the Unified Register of Persons Convicted of Crimes Against Sexual Freedom and Sexual Integrity of Minors.
