It has been established that the suspect is a deputy of one of the city councils in the Odesa region and simultaneously holds the position of head of the land commission.
In September 2025, the suspect demanded $9,500 from an entrepreneur for a positive resolution of the issue regarding the lease of 92 hectares of agricultural land in the region. She claimed that without her "assistance," the applicant would not receive permission to lease the land and would not be able to formalize the corresponding contract.
For the agreed amount, the head of the commission was to submit the documents for the commission's consideration and assist in the positive resolution of the issue regarding the land lease.
While receiving part of the funds, $8,000, the woman was detained by law enforcement officers.
