Prosecutors supported the public prosecution in the Bolhrad District Court in the case of a crime against the sexual integrity of a minor child. 

The prosecution fully proved the guilt of a 75-year-old man in committing sexual violence against a minor girl. 

The offender was sentenced to 6 years in prison with a prohibition on engaging in any activities related to the upbringing of children for one year after serving the sentence. 

Information about the criminal has been entered into the Unified Register of Persons Convicted of Crimes Against Sexual Freedom and Sexual Integrity of Minors.

Recall: in January 2023, a 7-year-old girl, who was friends with his grandchildren, came to the resident of Bolhrad to play with them. While the grandchildren were in the house, the man lured the child into the garage, where he committed sexual violence against her.

Considering that the issue of child protection is a priority for the work of the prosecution authorities of Ukraine, the public prosecution in this case regarding illegal actions against the child was personally supported by the Deputy Head of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was conducted by investigators of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odesa region.
