Prosecutors of the Odesa Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the Defense Sector of the Southern Region discovered a spontaneous landfill covering an area of 96.6 square meters on the territory of a military town. 

The site was illegally accumulating mixed household waste, leading to pollution of the area and exceeding the levels of harmful substances in the soil, creating a threat to the environment and public health. Experts estimated the damage to the environment at nearly 1.7 million UAH.

The prosecutor's office responded to the identified violations of environmental legislation and filed a lawsuit in the interests of the state and the State Environmental Inspection of the Southwestern District.

As a result, during the consideration of the case, the land plot was restored to proper condition, after which the proceedings were closed.
