In Poltava Oblast, a man is accused of sexual violence and rape of three minor neighbor girls

According to the investigation, from June to August 2019, a resident of one of the villages in the Myrhorod district raped and committed sexual violence against three minor children. 

At the time of the crime, they were five, six, and nine years old. 

It has been established that the victims, who were girls, were relatives and lived with their parents in a house next to the accused. Taking advantage of their trust, he lured the children to his home to commit the violence. Sometimes the rapes occurred in their house in the absence of their parents.

The parents of the children reported the sexual violence to law enforcement. During the pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings, forensic medical and psychological examinations were conducted. 

Currently, the man is in custody, and the indictment against him has been sent to court by the juvenile prosecutors of the Myrhorod District Prosecutor's Office. He is charged with committing sexual violence and rape against persons under 14 years of age (Part 4 of Article 153, Part 4 of Article 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine as amended by the Law of Ukraine dated December 6, 2017).

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
