According to the investigation, in the spring of 2025, a man raped his wife's 13-year-old daughter in the family's apartment. 

The crime became known when the child's health deteriorated and the mother took her to the doctors. 

The stepfather's actions were classified under part 4 of Article 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (rape of a person under 14 years of age with whom the offender is in a family relationship). The man is in custody.  

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings is being conducted by the National Police investigators under the procedural guidance of juvenile prosecutors from the Globyn District Prosecutor's Office and the Poltava Regional Prosecutor's Office. 

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
