In the Poltava region, the prosecutor's office demands the establishment of the boundaries of the botanical reserve "Zachepylivskyi" with an area of more than 800 hectares to protect the unique nature

The Reshetylivka District Prosecutor's Office has filed a lawsuit against the Novosanzharsk Village Council demanding the official establishment of the boundaries of the local significance botanical reserve "Zachepilivskyi" — an object of the nature reserve fund of Ukraine.

The reserve was created in 1994 with an area of 58 hectares, and in 2002, by a decision of the Poltava Regional Council, it was expanded to 826.8 hectares. However, the boundaries have not yet been marked on the ground, which creates risks for the preservation of this valuable forest-steppe area.

Here, the small fritillary, listed in the Red Book of Ukraine, grows, as well as numerous medicinal plants. The reserve plays a key role in conducting scientific research and maintaining the ecological balance of the region.

To prevent the degradation of this unique area and ensure its protection in a natural state, the prosecutors have turned to the court. The Poltava District Administrative Court has already opened proceedings in the case.
