Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from Poltava region, 18 individuals have been notified of suspicions, including local government officials, heads of communal enterprises, and private entrepreneurs. The amount of damages caused is nearly 490 million hryvnias.

Former heads of the communal enterprise of the Novoorzhytska territorial community illegally extracted minerals of national significance without special permits, causing damages of over 450 million UAH.

The director of a private enterprise and a technical supervision engineer, during the works on the bank reinforcement of the Kremenchuk Reservoir, misused their official position to embezzle budget funds amounting to over 10.4 million hryvnias.

An official from the Makukhiv landfill, due to official negligence, allowed fires to occur at the landfill, which caused air pollution, resulting in ecological damage of over 9.9 million hryvnias.

The director of a private company, during the repair of the sector for the burial of fallen servicemen, participants in hostilities at the Zaturynskyi cemetery in Poltava, embezzled budget funds, while the head of the communal enterprise providing funeral services abused his official position during the conduct and acceptance of repair works, causing damages of over 4 million hryvnias.

The former chief accountant of the Communal Enterprise "Third City Clinical Polyclinic of the Poltava City Council" unjustifiably accrued salaries for herself and her deputy, embezzling over 4 million hryvnias.

The director of a private enterprise and a technical supervision engineer, during the reconstruction of the collector of the KP POR "Poltavavodokanal," embezzled funds amounting to 1.8 million hryvnias.

An official from the education department of the Nekhvoroshchanska village council, during the reconstruction of a kindergarten, committed official negligence, resulting in unjustified budget expenditures of over 1.6 million hryvnias.

An official from the Hoholivska village council in the Myrhorod district, based on a concluded contract, leased industrial land to a private enterprise as agricultural land, causing damages of 865 thousand hryvnias.

The former head of the Ecology Department of the Poltava Regional State Administration facilitated the embezzlement of budget funds during the implementation of the project for organizing the territory of the regional park "Dykansky," causing damages of nearly 760 thousand UAH.

The director of one of the communal enterprises of the Khorol City Council, without concluding additional agreements regarding the supply of electricity to the communal enterprise, unjustifiably paid the cost of electrical energy to a private company, causing damages of nearly 380 thousand hryvnias.

An official from the Kozelshchyna village council is suspected of official negligence during the capital repair of pedestrian paths in the local park, causing damages of over 300 thousand hryvnias.  

The technical supervision engineer did not check the volumes of materials and the actual work performed during the reconstruction of the reception and trauma departments of the Khorol Central District Hospital, causing damages of over 300 thousand hryvnias.

The authorized person for public procurement from the education department of the Dykanka village council purchased boilers at inflated prices, causing damages to the local budget of nearly 160 thousand UAH.

The director of a private company is suspected of embezzling budget funds amounting to 160 thousand UAH during the construction of an artesian well in the village of Orzhytsia.

The actions of the suspects have been qualified under Articles 191, 240, 241, 364, 366, 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Currently, prosecutors have prepared a motion for the selection of preventive measures and the imposition of arrests on the property of the suspects.

Pre-trial investigations in criminal proceedings are ongoing under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Poltava region's prosecutor's office in cooperation with the National Police, the Security Service of Ukraine, the State Bureau of Investigation, and the Territorial Department of the Bureau of Economic Security in the Poltava region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
