Prosecutors of the Rivne Regional Prosecutor's Office submitted an indictment to the court on October 27 against the head of a company from Dubno district, who caused over 1.4 million UAH in damages to two energy supply companies. 

The investigation established that from October 2021 to May 2024, the man used electricity for production, while paying for the consumed electricity at a household tariff, which is almost twice lower than the industrial rate.

His actions caused nearly 1.2 million UAH in damages to JSC "NAEK "Energoatom" and over 200 thousand UAH to PJSC "Ukrhydroenergo".

The man is charged with official negligence (part 2 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). During the investigation, he fully compensated for the damages incurred.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Main Investigation Department of the National Police in Rivne region with operational support from the Security Service of Ukraine in the region.
