In the Rivne region, a military unit commander was exposed, which forced his subordinates to build a private house to him

According to the investigation, for over a year and a half, the commander of one of the military units in Rivne involved three servicemen (two drivers and an electrician) in the construction of his own residence in the Zolochiv district of Lviv region. In return, he indicated in the documents that they were supposedly in the unit and performing combat tasks.

For this, the servicemen received additional payments on top of their salary. Moreover, for such "service," they were repeatedly awarded certificates.

As a result, over 1.3 million hryvnias were illegally disbursed from the state budget.

During a search, law enforcement confirmed the fact of the crime, as two servicemen were found at the construction site, who were performing work at that time. Additionally, mobile phones, bank cards, land documents, construction invoices, and other physical evidence were seized.

Under the procedural guidance of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the defense sector of the Western region, the serviceman was notified of suspicion for exceeding authority and official powers, causing serious consequences, committed under martial law by a group of persons in collusion (part 2 of article 28, part 5 of article 426-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). At the request of the prosecutors, a preventive measure in the form of detention with the right to bail was chosen for him.

The sanction of the incriminated article provides for punishment of up to 12 years of imprisonment.
