Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Ternopil Regional Prosecutor's Office, three more participants of an organized group have been exposed, who are suspected of embezzling budget funds allocated for the repair of two educational institutions.
According to the investigation, the organized group consisted of the head of the company that carried out technical supervision, the head of a private contracting enterprise, his subordinate, and the head of one of the communities. Law enforcement previously exposed the latter in October 2025 and informed him of the suspicion under Part 5 of Article 191, Part 2 of Article 28, and Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
It has been established that 4.8 million UAH was allocated from the state and community budget for the repair of the cafeteria of the lyceum with the implementation of energy-saving equipment and the capital repair of the roof of one of the school buildings. Relevant contracts were concluded between the village council and the company.
Subsequently, the group members, from May 2024 to March 2025, included data in the documents about the total volume of work performed, despite the fact that the contractors did not complete all the planned work.
