At the request of the head of the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office, Oleg Tkalenko, a current lawyer from Vinnytsia has been notified of suspicion of committing a traffic accident, as a result of which serious bodily injuries were inflicted on a minor child (part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). 

The incident occurred in April 2025 in the city of Mohyliv-Podilskyi. 

According to the investigation, the suspect was backing out of a parking lot onto the roadway during the day. Failing to ensure the safety of the maneuver, he caused a collision with an electric scooter being ridden by a 10-year-old boy who was moving in his lane.

The child sustained serious injuries: an open traumatic brain injury, a fracture of the ischium, bruises, and more. 

The issue of choosing a preventive measure for the suspect is being resolved.

Pre-trial investigation — National Police. 

The sanction of the article provides for punishment — imprisonment for a term of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
