Under the procedural guidance of the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office, a channel for supplying narcotic substances to Vinnytsia Correctional Colony No. 86 has been uncovered and shut down. 

According to the investigation, two inmates, one of whom is a "criminal authority," established a supply of cannabis and methadone to the correctional facility starting in May 2025. They sold the "goods" among the convicted individuals.

During authorized searches at the locations where the suspects were held, nearly 1 kg of cannabis, mobile phones, and SIM cards were seized. 

The members of the criminal group have been notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings and operational support were carried out by the Main Directorate of the National Police in Vinnytsia Region.  

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
