Under the procedural guidance of the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office, an indictment has been sent to court regarding the state registrar of one of the settlements in the Haisyn district. 

He is accused of abusing his powers for the purpose of obtaining illegal benefits, which caused significant damage to the interests of the territorial community (part 3 of Article 365-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the registrar, having access to the state register, illegally formalized ownership rights to someone else's property. As a result of his actions, legal entities suffered losses exceeding 10 million UAH.

In order to recover these losses, based on a court ruling, an arrest has been placed on the property of the accused in the amount of the damages caused.

For the committed act, the accused faces punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of five to eight years, with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years, with or without confiscation of property.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was conducted by investigators of the Investigative Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Vinnytsia region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
