A 23-year-old teacher was detained in Vinnytsia region, which is likely to be involved in the murder of two students

Updated: The head of the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office, Oleg Tkalenko, signed a notice of suspicion against a former teacher under paragraph 1 of part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional murder of two individuals).
Under the procedural supervision of prosecutors from the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated into the intentional murder of two students from the Shargorod Lyceum (paragraph 1 of part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The group of prosecutors is led by Oleg Tkalenko, head of the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office.
The tragedy occurred on the morning of September 10 in Shargorod, Zhmerynka district, Vinnytsia region. The perpetrator, waiting for the children who were heading to school, suddenly inflicted stab and cut penetrating wounds to their necks. The children died as a result of their injuries while receiving emergency medical assistance. The man fled the scene.
The identities of the victims have been established. They are students of the 10th and 11th grades of the local lyceum.
An investigative and operational group is working at the scene under the personal supervision of Oleg Tkalenko, head of the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office.
The alleged perpetrator, who committed the brazen murder of two teenagers, has been detained. He turned out to be a local resident born in 2002, their former teacher.
Urgent investigative actions are currently underway.
A notice of suspicion and a request for the application of a preventive measure in the form of detention for the suspect are being prepared.
