Prosecutors of the Volyn Regional Prosecutor's Office have sent an indictment to the court against a family doctor from one of the private medical centers in Lutsk for committing fraud under martial law and inciting the provision of unlawful benefits to officials (Part 2 of Article 15, Part 3 of Article 190, Part 4 of Article 27, Part 2 of Article 15, Part 1 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

It has been established that the doctor, knowing that the patient had legal grounds for assigning a disability group, decided to take advantage of the patient's ignorance regarding these grounds.

During the conversation, the doctor stated that he could assist in obtaining disability status, but it was necessary to provide 8,000 US dollars to the officials of the expert team assessing the person's daily functioning, who would determine the degree of loss of working capacity, otherwise the assignment of a group would be denied.

The doctor was detained at the moment of receiving the funds from the patient.

The court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of house arrest for him.

Pre-trial investigation: The Main Investigation Department of the National Police in the Volyn region under the operational support of the Security Service of Ukraine in the region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in the manner prescribed by law and confirmed by a guilty verdict of the court.
