Prosecutors of the Kharkiv Regional and Chuhuiv District Prosecutor's Offices proved the guilt of a man in the rape of a person who had not reached the age of fourteen, regardless of her voluntary consent (part 4 of Article 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He was sentenced to 13 years of imprisonment.

It was established that the incident occurred in June 2023 in one of the villages of the Chuhuiv district. The convicted man worked at an agricultural firm, from which he brought dairy products. Under the pretext of buying them, he invited an 11-year-old neighbor girl to his home.

In the house, the man raped her.

Law enforcement officers uncovered him in July 2023. At the prosecutor's request, a preventive measure in the form of non-alternative detention was chosen.

According to the verdict, information about the accused will be included in the Unified Register of Persons Convicted of Crimes Against the Sexual Freedom and Sexual Integrity of Minors.
