Under the procedural guidance of the Bohodukhiv District Prosecutor's Office of Kharkiv Oblast, two men have been notified of suspicion for justifying, recognizing as lawful, and denying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine (Part 1 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, two residents of the city of Lyubotyn actively supported the "Russian world" online. They left comments in pro-Russian Telegram channels, justified the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, spread Kremlin propaganda theses, and expressed contempt for Ukrainian statehood. Law enforcement agencies uncovered them. The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the investigative unit of the Bohodukhiv District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kharkiv Oblast with operational support from the Security Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv Oblast.
In addition, a resident of Kharkiv systematically left comments in pro-Russian chats justifying the war. His words contained calls for changing the state borders of Ukraine and "joining" its regions to the Russian Federation, as well as statements aimed at the destruction of Ukrainians. Under the procedural guidance of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, he has been notified of suspicion for producing and distributing materials justifying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, committed repeatedly (Parts 2, 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), intentional actions aimed at inciting national enmity and hatred, humiliating national honor and dignity (Part 1 of Article 161 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), and placing materials with calls to change the borders of the territory and state border of Ukraine contrary to the Constitution of Ukraine (Part 1 of Article 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The Kharkiv resident has been chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention without the right to bail. The pre-trial investigation and operational support are conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv Oblast.
Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
