In Kharkiv region, a serviceman who transmitted the data of the FSB of the Russian Federation about posts and positions of the Armed Forces was exposed

Under the procedural guidance of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the Defense Sphere of the Eastern Region, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been exposed for treason.
According to the investigation materials, from April to July 2025, the individual transferred information about the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service, and other military formations located in the Kharkiv region, particularly in the Kupiansk and Velykoburlutsk directions, to an officer of the FSB of the Russian Federation. The enemy used the obtained information to strike Ukrainian positions.
Additionally, in July 2025, the individual reported the coordinates of four checkpoints located in the Kharkiv, Kyiv, and Lviv regions, thereby creating a threat to the life and safety of servicemen and law enforcement officers. For each location provided, he received a monetary reward to electronic wallets.
After transferring another batch of information about the locations of the checkpoints, the individual was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
Prosecutors informed the individual of the suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed under martial law). A motion has also been submitted to the court regarding the selection of a preventive measure in the form of detention without setting the amount of bail.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, with operational support from the Department of Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine.
Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
