The main focus of law enforcement agencies, especially in regions close to temporarily occupied territories, should be on exposing collaborators and traitors. The Attorney General emphasized the activation of investigations into crimes against the foundations of national security during a coordination meeting yesterday.
Today in Kherson region, the prosecutor's office reported suspicions against 40 individuals who collaborated with the aggressor state and its occupation administration.
Among the suspects are: current deputies of local councils in Ukraine, a senator from the Russian Federation, pseudo-judges, "law enforcement" officers of the occupiers, participants in illegal paramilitary formations, and organizers of the pseudo-referendum and "elections".
They are charged with treason, collaboration activities, aiding the aggressor state, propaganda, and justifying the war.

One of them is a city council deputy from the Opposition Platform – For Life party, who, while being the head of the State Ecological Inspection of the Southern District during martial law, assisted the Russian special services and military, in particular, organizing the transportation of occupiers, providing them with official vehicles and boats for movement across Kherson region. Another is a local council deputy who voluntarily participated in the so-called "elections" after the temporary occupation of Kherson region and became the "deputy head of the council of deputies of the Novotroitsk municipal district".

He publicly engaged in information activities supporting the aggressor state, disseminated Russian propaganda, and spoke in support of aggression, the occupation administration, and armed formations.

Nine citizens of Ukraine voluntarily joined the illegal "law enforcement agencies" of the occupiers, the so-called police, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and correctional institutions.

Another nine citizens of Ukraine became leaders in military-civilian administrations of various levels and performed organizational and administrative functions.

A citizen of Ukraine agreed to implement the education standards of the aggressor state, becoming the "deputy director" of the seized Kherson Maritime College of Fishery Industry.

Three employees of the Kherson State Plant "Palada" conspired to transfer material resources to the occupation troops.
The actions of the 40 individuals are primarily classified under Articles 111, 111-1, 111-2, 436-2, and 28 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: treason, collaboration activities, aiding the aggressor state, informational support of the aggressor, and complicity in the crime.
