Prosecutors of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office have informed a local resident of suspicion of disseminating information about the movement, movement, and location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (part 3 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He has also been chosen a preventive measure - detention.

According to the investigation, the suspect, a medical worker at one of the Kherson hospitals, established contact with a man recruited by representatives of the Russian special services. He systematically collected and transmitted information about the locations, movements of military personnel, the arrangement of checkpoints, fortifications, and the location of military equipment of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

During a search, a mobile phone was seized from him containing evidence of collaboration with the enemy, including coordinates of Ukrainian units that he sent in the form of markers on Google Maps with detailed descriptions of the objects.

Thanks to the coordinated actions of law enforcement, it was possible to prevent the leakage of other important information and timely take measures to protect defense-related facilities.

The final qualification of his actions will be determined after the necessary investigative actions are completed.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kherson region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
