In Khmelnytskyi, persons who forged driver's licenses and passports were exposed

Under the procedural guidance of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Prosecutor's Office, the organizer of the "business" has been notified of suspicion for the facts of forgery, production, and sale of documents with holographic security elements (Part 1 of Article 199, Part 1, 3 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The man used his own specialized technical equipment to produce forged driver's licenses and vehicle registration certificates. He sold the "documents" via the Internet and sent them by mail.

The suspect forged so-called documents not only of Ukrainian sample but also of Polish.

He "advertised" his services through created accounts on "Telegram."

During the conducted searches, 274 blanks of driver's licenses and vehicle registration certificates were seized, including 11 licenses of the sample established in the Republic of Poland, one already produced forged document, 75 thousand US dollars, specialized equipment (printers, holographic paper, a machine for making samples, a press laminator), and a car.

The suspect has been chosen a preventive measure in the form of round-the-clock house arrest.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Khmelnytskyi region with operational support from the Department of Internal Security of the National Police of Ukraine.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
