Under the procedural guidance of the Shepetivka District Prosecutor's Office, an indictment has been sent to court against the head of the capital construction department of the Netishyn City Council for the embezzlement of budget funds in large amounts and official forgery (Part 4 of Article 191, Part 2 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

It has been established that in September 2017, the suspect entered into a contract with a company for the reconstruction of the building of the city center for social services, specifically for the conversion of the premises into a children's creativity house. The total cost of all works amounted to 29 million hryvnias.

In 2020, the suspect signed acts with inflated volumes of work, which became the basis for the illegal transfer of 582 thousand hryvnias to the company's accounts.

At the request of the prosecutors, the head of the capital construction department was suspended from his position.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Shepetivka District Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Khmelnytskyi region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
