He burned a police car on request in Kramatorsk - a resident of Pokrovsky district was informed of the suspicion

Under the procedural guidance of the Kramatorsk District Prosecutor's Office, a 23-year-old man has been notified of suspicion for the intentional destruction of someone else's property by arson (part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

This concerns a resident of the Pokrovsk district who is temporarily living in Kramatorsk.

According to the investigation, the suspect agreed to the proposal of an administrator of one of the “Telegram” channels to earn 50,000 UAH for setting fire to a police car.

On January 3, 2026, at half past one in the morning, he saw a “Renault Duster” with the symbols of the National Police of Ukraine parked near a high-rise building in the city center. Following the instructions of the so-called curator, he doused the car's body with a pre-prepared flammable liquid and set it on fire. He recorded the ignition process on his phone camera and then posted the video on the “Telegram” channel.

As a result of the fire, the vehicle was completely burned out. The amount of damages amounted to 122,245 UAH.

The arsonist was detained in Odesa. At the request of the prosecutor's office, he was chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention without the possibility of bail. He faces a punishment of imprisonment for a term of 3 to 10 years.

The pre-trial investigation and operational support are conducted by the Kramatorsk Police Department and the Main Department of the National Police in the Donetsk region, the Donetsk Department of the National Police's Internal Security, and the Security Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
