In Zaporizhzhya, a cohabitant deputy handed over almost 24 thousand tons of harvest to the Russian Federation. Losses amount to over UAH 56 million

Under the procedural guidance of the Vasylivka District Prosecutor's Office, a deputy of the Kamianka-Dniprovska City Council from the Opposition Platform — For Life (OPZZH) has been notified of suspicion for collaborating with representatives of the occupying administration of the Russian Federation during the temporary occupation of the region and for disposing of the property of a farming enterprise without the owner's consent.

The investigation has established that in July–August 2022, prior to the full-scale invasion, the suspect held a managerial position in a local farming enterprise. While on the occupied territory, without the knowledge of the owner of the enterprise, he effectively transferred nearly 24,000 tons of agricultural products from the company's warehouses in the city of Kamianka-Dniprovska to the Russian Federation.

According to the calculations of the economic expertise, this caused the enterprise losses exceeding 56 million UAH.

Prosecutors have notified the individual of suspicion under Part 4 of Article 111-1 and Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — collaborative activity and misappropriation of property in conditions of martial law. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
