A resident of a village in the Kharkiv region in September 2025 voluntarily established contact with a representative of the aggressor state via the messenger "Telegram" and, following their instructions, collected and transmitted information about the movements of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. 

The traitor also planned an explosion in the "Karpiivskyi Sad" park in Kharkiv, having planted a hand grenade F-1 with a UZRG type detonator. After that, he was detained by law enforcement officers.  

Under the procedural guidance of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, he has been notified of suspicion of treason committed under martial law (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and preparing a terrorist act by a group of persons in conspiracy (part 1 of Article 14, part 2 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The suspect has been chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention without the right to bail.

Pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the SBU in the Kharkiv region. Operational support is provided by the DKR SBU.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
