Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Chernivtsi Regional Prosecutor's Office, an indictment has been submitted to the court against the former acting director of the KP "Chernivtsi Trolleybus Management" for the fact of misappropriation of budget funds (part 2 of Article 210 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the former official, contrary to the Budget Code and without the approval of the financial management and the Department of Housing and Communal Services of the city council, redirected funds intended for the purchase of rolling stock for the enterprise to advance payment for electricity.

The amount of damages caused exceeds 7.3 million UAH.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by detectives of the Territorial Department of the Bureau of Economic Security in the Chernivtsi region with operational support from the Cybercrime Prevention Department in the Chernivtsi region of the National Police of Ukraine.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
