Prosecutors of the Specialized Environmental Prosecutor's Office of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office have sent an indictment to the court against the director of the State Enterprise "Dniprovskoye Forestry," who illegally issued logging tickets for the felling of trees in the territory of the regional landscape park "Dniprovskyi Lisy" throughout 2022. The state has suffered damages amounting to nearly 34 million hryvnias.

The accused is charged with improper performance of official duties (part 2 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region with operational support from the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police of Ukraine.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
