The DPSU inspector is suspected of promising to flee abroad for $7,000

Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Odesa Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Southern region, a border service inspector has been notified of suspicion for organizing the illegal crossing of the state border by a conscripted man (Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, in September 2025, acting intentionally and for selfish motives, the law enforcement officer was searching for men of conscription age who intended to leave the country in violation of the legislative restrictions of martial law.

The suspect offered one of these men to organize his illegal transportation to the Republic of Moldova for 7,000 US dollars. According to the plan, the conscripted man arrived in the city of Podilsk in the Odesa region, settled in a hotel, and awaited instructions from the inspector.

During a personal meeting, the suspect provided him with information about the place and date of the crossing abroad, as well as indicated where to leave the unlawful benefit.

Law enforcement officers detained the inspector immediately after the meeting. The court has already chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of 242,240 hryvnias.

The sanction of the incriminated article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of seven to nine years, with confiscation of property and deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
