The Prosecutor General's Office informs about the conduct of today's investigative actions by NABU and SAP employees
09.10.2025
Based on the ruling of the VAKS, detectives from the NABU conducted searches of two prosecutors from the Office of the Prosecutor General as part of a pre-trial investigation in one of the criminal proceedings.
According to the provided court ruling, the events in question took place between February and July of this year. The ruling states that one of the employees of the OGP, not in the course of performing official or procedural duties, allegedly acted as an intermediary in the transfer of an unlawful benefit amounting to 3.5 million US dollars to judges of the High Anti-Corruption Court.
This same court ruling mentions another employee of the Office of the Prosecutor General. His role, actions, and possible involvement in corrupt offenses are not specified in the ruling, nor is the justification for conducting the search detailed. However, this morning, a search was conducted at his residence and workplace, which ended without results — no items or documents of procedural significance were seized.
At the same time, the mentioned prosecutor is part of a group of prosecutors investigating criminal proceedings in which facts of possible unlawful activities by NABU detectives are being examined, including the head of one of the interregional offices of NABU detectives, Magamedrasulov, who is suspected of aiding the aggressor state (Part 1 of Article 14, Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
By a strange coincidence, just as this investigation against the prosecutor is underway, actions begin that raise reasonable doubts about their objectivity.
In this context, there is a perceived risk of a conflict of interest and selective application of investigative mechanisms by NABU detectives and SAP prosecutors. This raises serious questions about the true motives of the investigation and the impartiality of its participants.
The Office of the Prosecutor General emphasizes its commitment to the principles of transparency, legality, and legal certainty. We do not support any forms of pressure on the process of politicizing criminal prosecution or "witch hunts," but we remain consistently interested in the objective establishment of the truth.
For proper response and the adoption of balanced management decisions, the OGP expects the official provision of materials from the criminal proceedings by NABU and SAP. This is necessary for conducting an internal review in accordance with current legislation.
In the event of confirmed reasonable suspicions and the presence of a proper evidentiary base, all legally prescribed measures will be taken.
