Prosecutors of the Office of the Attorney General confirmed the sentence of the stepfather, convicted of raping his minor stepdaughter (Part 4, Part 6 of Article 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

 The Supreme Court imposed a sentence of 15 years of imprisonment on the rapist. 

Prosecutors proved that in August 2021, a resident of the Sarny district of the Rivne region repeatedly raped the 13-year-old daughter of his cohabitant, taking advantage of her helpless state due to her age. 

The mother of the victim reported the rape to law enforcement authorities. 

The Cassation Criminal Court as part of the Supreme Court agreed with the prosecutor's arguments regarding the validity of the crime's qualification and the appropriateness of the imposed sentence.

The man did not admit his guilt. 

Information about the convicted person will be entered into the Unified Register of Persons Convicted of Crimes Against Sexual Freedom and Sexual Integrity of Minors.
