The Office of the Prosecutor General has sent an exprotor's case to the court, who voluntarily held the position in the illegal prosecutor's office in the temporarily occupied territory

The pre-trial investigation established that the accused, under conditions of martial law, accepted the offer from representatives of the occupying authorities of the aggressor state, the Russian Federation, and voluntarily took the position of prosecutor in one of the so-called prosecutor's offices created by the occupying administration of the Russian Federation in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region.
The prosecutor of the General Inspection of the Office of the Prosecutor General has submitted an indictment to the court against the former prosecutor of one of the district prosecutor's offices in the Zaporizhzhia region, who is charged with voluntarily taking a position in an illegal law enforcement agency established in the temporarily occupied territory (part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The sanction of the article provides for punishment of up to fifteen years with confiscation of property.
The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the investigative department of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
