According to the investigation, the lawyer established an illegal scheme for the unlawful conscription of men of draft age and their removal from the search lists of the TCC and SP. He involved the head of a critical infrastructure enterprise, who fictitiously employed conscripts, as well as his deputy — an intermediary in the transfer of funds and "salaries".

In May 2025, one of the "clients" paid 9,500 US dollars for illegal conscription. Subsequently, he transferred his salary, which was accrued at the enterprise, to the suspects every month. In July, the lawyer received another 10,000 dollars and 40,000 hryvnias for similar "services" from another conscript. After that, the participants in the scheme were exposed, and two of them were detained.

The head of the Odesa Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the defense sector informed the lawyer of the suspicion of receiving unlawful benefits and obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during a special period, committed in collusion with other individuals (part 3 of article 368, part 2 of article 28, part 1 of article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention without the right to bail.

The director of the enterprise was notified in absentia of the suspicion of obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (part 1 of article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He has been declared wanted due to possible hiding abroad.

The deputy director also received a suspicion from the prosecutor's office under part 1 of article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention with an alternative of posting bail of 3 million hryvnias, which has already been paid.

The investigation is ongoing. Other individuals involved in the criminal activity and those who may have benefited from this scheme are being identified.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Main Investigation Department of the National Police in the Odesa region, with operational support from the Department of Military Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine.

Note: according to article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established.
