The occupiers fired at a children's hospital in Kherson - an investigation has been launched

Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated regarding the fact of a war crime (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, on October 29, 2025, at approximately 09:20, the enemy opened artillery fire on a children's hospital in Kherson, where patients, their parents, and medical staff were present at that time.

Preliminary data indicates that nine people were injured as a result of the shelling, including four children and three medical workers. Information about the number of injured is being clarified.

The hospital buildings sustained significant damage, and the blast wave affected adjacent structures. 

Prosecutors, together with investigators, are documenting the consequences of the shelling and collecting evidence of yet another war crime by the Russian Federation.

Shelling of civilian objects, including healthcare facilities, constitutes a gross violation of international humanitarian law.
