Operation to clean up the National Ground: part 2

During searches of top officials of the National Police, an elite fleet of six cars, five Swiss watches, firearms and cold weapons, mobile phones, as well as cash in various currencies totaling over 22.6 million UAH were seized. This was reported by the Attorney General Ruslan Kravchenko on his Facebook page.
He noted that currently, five participants of the scheme have been detained, and they have been informed of their suspicion.
“The driver of the vehicle fleet of the State Enterprise ‘Center for Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Units,’ who acted as an intermediary, is charged with incitement and complicity in obtaining illegal benefits in especially large amounts by a person occupying a responsible position for not taking actions using their official position in the interests of third parties, specifically repeatedly and by prior conspiracy of a group of persons under parts 4, 5 of Article 27, part 4 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine,” – stated Ruslan Kravchenko.
The Attorney General also informed that the actions of the head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Ivano-Frankivsk region, his deputy, as well as the first deputy head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Ternopil region and the deputy head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Zhytomyr region, have been qualified under part 4 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely for obtaining illegal benefits in especially large amounts for themselves by a person occupying a responsible position for not taking actions in the interests of third parties using their official position, committed by prior conspiracy of a group of persons.
In conclusion, Ruslan Kravchenko noted that motions are currently being prepared for the court to choose preventive measures for the suspects.
Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
